DRAGON SKIN — DRACONIS
Since ancient times, the dragon has been more than a mythical beast. It has been passed down through generations as a mysterious presence embodying a power far beyond that of humankind — a creature of fire, a guardian of the earth, and a protector of gold and treasure. The awe inspired by its power has endured across the centuries.
And yet, no one truly knows what a dragon looked like.
In the East, it has been depicted as a long, serpentine creature ascending toward the heavens; in the West, as a powerful being with wings and formidable claws. Its appearance has changed across cultures and ages, yet the mystery and power people sensed within the dragon have endured, carried into the present through countless legends.
DRACONIS does not attempt to portray the dragon itself.
Instead, it reveals its black “skin” — a symbol of a presence that has endured beyond the boundaries of time.
Pure gold catches the surface of each of its countless scales, changing with the viewer’s perspective as though a dormant creature were slowly breathing back to life. This is not the brilliance of ornamental gold, but a light that emerges from the darkness, revealing its presence only for an instant — a trace of a power that has passed through fire and time without ever being lost.
DRACONIS — an artwork that brings the mystery and power of the dragon, passed down from the distant ancient world, into the present — not through its form, but through the enduring symbol of its skin.
