This work was inspired by memories of summer, friendship, and the time spent surrounded by nature during childhood.
The gentle interplay of lavender blue and gold evokes the fragrance of lavender carried through the warmth of a summer day and the soft hum of bees moving among the flowers, expressing the joy and vitality of a season filled with life. The gold used throughout the composition represents more than beauty or brilliance; it symbolizes the preciousness of the natural world—from flowers that bloom with the changing seasons to the insects and small forms of life that inhabit it.
Bees have long been regarded as symbols of prosperity, while ladybugs are traditionally associated with happiness and good fortune. Lavender, with its calming fragrance, is known for bringing a sense of tranquility and has also been used since ancient times as a symbol of protection.
The work recalls childhood summer days spent chasing insects and discovering the small wonders of nature. As the seasons return, these tiny creatures appear once again among the flowers, almost like meeting old friends after a long absence.
Through a gentle world of lavender blue and gold, the work celebrates the preciousness of nature’s smallest forms of life and the happiness, prosperity, and cherished memories they carry with them.
