Segni nel Cielo is a series of twelve works representing the “signs” that humankind has discovered in the night sky since ancient times, expressed through the twelve signs of the zodiac.
Since the earliest civilizations, people have connected the stars in the night sky, recognizing in their patterns the forms of animals, human figures, and gods, and creating countless stories around them. The constellations of Greek mythology were also born from this enduring dialogue between humanity and the heavens.
Beyond inspiring stories and mythology, the stars also played an essential role in guiding human life.
By observing their positions and movements, people learned to recognize the changing seasons and the passage of time. Sailors crossing vast seas looked to the stars to determine their direction and navigate their journeys. The night sky became a magnificent celestial guide, revealing time, place, and the path ahead.
