Title: The Garden of the Witches
Dating: Autumn 2019
Location: Japan / Italy
Genre: Abstract
Material used: Oil paint on canvas of 50x50cm thickness 3.8, hot glue, plaster, materic / structuring pastes, 24k gold, resin-based paints
Inspiration behind the Opera: Our century and the narcissism that pervades it
Characteristics of the work: The predominant colors are blue and gray, the tone is dark, elegant embellished with important gold reliefs;a sensation of mystery dominates, accentuated by the almost playful contrast of the butterflies, deliberately created with a saturated palette, alien to the rest of the work.
Artist's comments: Butterflies in various cultures symbolize souls or spirits but also purity and joy.
On a summer night they fly, they seem to want to find refuge, as if attracted by the golden plants of the garden ... the reference to today's society is evident in the constant search for precious items.
Art enriches life and its ultimate function is to make people happier
`` Be inspired by myths and legends to create objects with their own memory and strength ''
